Getting around UAC requests and losing control
I've been testing out Assist for providing software installation and configuration.
Trying to install on a Windows 7 machine I lost control as soon as the UAC box appeared asking for installation permission. Reading other posts it seems that the host can't see or act on this box and loses control.
I found it took around 5-10 mins to get control back and had to provide manual instructions over the phone.
How do you get around remote software installations?
Do you get your client to do the install and then beam in to configure?
How long does it normally take to get control back after the UAC windows has been clicked on?
I'd like to use Zoho as my remote app as I use many of their other services but really need a smooth and easy way to get round losing control and then trying to get it back...
