Tip of the week #13: Invite attendees to the events in Zoho Calendar.



What's an event without participants? In Zoho Calendar, you can add participants to every event you create. The Attendees field of the Create Event, Duplicate Event, or Edit Event tab can be used to add and invite participants to an event. You have the option of inviting contacts from both within and outside your organization.

Steps to Invite attendees to an Event

  1. Log in to Zoho Calendar.
  2. Click the New Event button on the left pane of your calendar, or edit an existing event that you have created.

  3. In the Create Event/ Edit event tab, provide the Event title, Date and Time of the event.
  4. Provide the email address of the attendees in the Attendees field. You can choose the attendees email address from the drop down if the attendees are in your contact or if they are from within your organization.

  5. You can also send invites to attendees from outside your organization. Type the complete email address of the attendee in the Attendees field and press enter/ return.

  6. You can send invites to a group of attendees from within your organization. Type the group name in the Attendees field and select the group from the listing.

  7. Provide other details of the event and click Save.
  8. Send event invitation pop-up will appear. Select any one of the options given and click Confirm.
An email invitation will be sent to the attendees' email addresses who are not from your organisation. Participants in your organization will be notified in their calendars in addition to receiving an email invitation. The attendees can respond to the invitation in the email or notification. The organizer of the event will be notified once the participants respond to the invitation. 

The participants can set reminders for the events they are part of and can customize their notification settings. Learn more.
