What's New in Zoho Books - September 2016
With Zoho Books we're always working on building new features and enhancing existing ones. We had released quite a lot of interesting features in August and we've maintained the momentum in September as well. Take a look at all the new features in Zoho Books for September 2016.

1. BANKING - MATCH TRANSACTIONS FOR FLAWLESS ACCOUNTING
If you reconcile transactions every day (which we hope you do), you would have noticed the fab new changes we've brought into our Banking module.
- Advanced filter enhancement.
- Select transactions with multiple searches.
- Add adjustments on the fly.
(Shh...we've got a secret to share with you. We're going to transform the banking module pretty soon and I'm sure you're going to love it. Please watch out this space for more information)

2. CLASSIFY YOUR ACCOUNTS FURTHER WITH SUB-ACCOUNTS
Wouldn't you love to keep your accounts organized and have a more granular view of your accounts? Enter Sub-accounts!
Zoho Books offers you the option to set up sub-accounts for various account types, like Asset, Cost of Goods Sold, Expense, Liability, Fixed Asset and others. Any transactions occurring in these accounts will reflect in your key financial reports like P&L and Balance Sheet.
Now instead of just viewing your expenses under 'Advertising Expense' category, you can now break it down further as 'Print & Media', 'Digital' and 'Social' and more.

3. SCHEDULE YOUR INVOICING IN ADVANCE
Set your invoices to be automatically sent to your customers at a future date while you go for a holiday with your family or leave for an urgent business meet overseas.
All you have to do is schedule your invoice and we'll take care of the rest.

4. STAY ON TOP OF YOUR PROJECT EXPENSES
Every project has expenses and it can be anything from buying dinner for your customer to purchasing tools for a project.
We've made it easier for you to drill into your project expenses with our brand new - Expenses by Project report. With this new report, get information on your customer, their project, the expense associated along with the tax details. You can apply filter to view all, invoiced, reimbursed expenses and also those which are with/without receipts.
5. ADD COMMENTS AND MULTIPLE NOTES FOR CONTACTS
Missed out noting down all your important customer requests? No worries. Now you can create multiple comments to track address changes, any order requirements, add payment reminders or simply note down a request you would have received over the phone.

6. VIEW YOUR TAX SUMMARY IN INVOICE
Businesses in Europe require giving a breakdown of VAT amount in their invoice. Zoho Books gives you the flexibility to get a detailed breakdown of your Tax Summary in your invoice. Folks using the Global Edition for other countries can choose whether to show the Tax summary table. This table displays a summary of all the taxes applied to the line item in your invoice.

7. KEEPING TRACK OF TDS
TDS is no longer Tedious to track. Zoho Books customers in India can now heave a sigh of relief. With the new feature, you can record TDS by entering the tax withheld amount at the time of bill payment. Read More
Zoho Books customers in Australia can mark their vendors as tax registered or not while creating contact and record the Tax Deducted at Source accordingly. You can view these deductions in Tax withheld summary report. Read More
7. ADD ADDITIONAL ITEM FIELDS TO YOUR INVOICES
Have you ever felt the need to add supplementary information about your product in your invoices?
Customers in Export business often come across this need. Keeping that in mind, Zoho Books now allows you to capture additional information in an invoice through 'Item custom fields'.
