Finish implementing the Users Field, or allow fetching from Users database.
It's annoying how such a crucial feature ends up being utterly useless and wasting me hours as I'm trying to figure out how to get the Email ID from the user I've selected within a Users Field. This field's only purpose as of now is to assign a record's owner name automatically as the user name of the user chosen from that field OR to do logic-defying assignments involving comparisons between zoho.loginuser and other such internal values from the application. However, there is absolutely, AB-SO-LU-TELYRequest: In the Reports UI for User ad-hoc searches: support boolean logic within a column and between columns (ideally via Criteria builder?)
This is a common wish for us, and I see that this is has been requested multiple times. We see that we could build something of the sort using a stateless form with results shown on an HTML page. Yet... MUCH more powerful would be to support it in the native reports UI . This way, the user may have more flexible ad-hoc options in the search, and most importantly: when results are delivered, the user has all the controls of the standard UI vs. html list. NOTE that the Global search is not sufficientShow/hide in mobile
Hi Zoho, It would be great if there was an option to hide/show reports/views/forms in mobile app. Kind of like a publish setting, but strictly for mobile app. There are select forms and report that I only use on the mobile app and some html pages that only work on web version... No where in the Deluge reference documentation can you find mention of certificates for transport layer security (TLS). Apparently this is because there is no getUrl() support for importing a CA certificate which means that you may only use an https:// scheme with an HTTPS server which has paid a yearly subscription for a certificate from a CA recognized by Zoho.getUrl() does not support ports other than 80
The Deluge reference page for getUrl() says: "By default, it supports websites running in port 80 and 443." I was dumbfounded when told by Zoho support that it ONLY supports these ports! Apparently the standard URL format of http://host:port/path is not supported at all. It uses port 80 for the http:// scheme and port 443 for the https:// scheme and does NOT do the right thing to allow us to specify the actual port the HTTP server is running on. This obvious shortcoming rules out using Creatoradd user in customer portal

We have a parent form with 39,000 rows. Our child form references the parent form via a lookup field. We need to display context info from parent so we use a dropdown and display "Parent.Name - Parent.Age - Parent.City". We never want to change the parent of a child. We set the parent when creating the child by passing ?Parent_ID=xxxxxxx at the end of the URL when opening the child form to create a new child. The child form takes 30+ seconds to load and is getting worse since all of the 39,000Form type icons in Form builder

Sure would be great in my application for the user to be able to have PDF/Email as an option (in addition to the physical printer option) that they will rarely have in their 95% mobile world. Is there not a way to incorporate a "version" into the application so that in the future as users needing help that they can refer to a "version" number found by some means? I have a Form with a Subform . I do a fetch data from another subform (subform where I want to get the information is a subform blank, no way). Spend more time/text describing how the "lookup" feature and process works. You sort of discuss this implementation but I feel you do not go into enough depth regarding it's use and when and when not to use bi-directional selection. Other developers coming from other backgrounds can run into trouble as they make "assumptions" about what is going on and how to "build the relationship", that will only "sort of work". Hello I am trying to use a sendmail function in a custom action to send out a record summary as a PDF using a record summary template. This currently isn't possible, and we are forced to send out a pdf of the view, which is not very aesthetically pleasing. I'd like to also request an option to sort lookup fields by various typical means. For example. In my app loads are entered in order and the carriers LoadID always increments larger, along with the record level ID. When a user needs to add a child record, they must select a valid load. It would be nice if the "most recent" additions were at the top because these are the most likely to have additional child records added. (I'm also displaying other fields in the lookup that make record recognitionDuplicate Forms and Offer Custom Form Templates
As you may know, while it's easy to duplicate views, the same is not true for forms. The best to to duplicate a form is to view its "form definition with action", copy the code, create a new blank form, and then paste-in that code. This is a bit of a runaround but works. I tried to explain this to a client and they came away more confused. It would be nice to have an option to duplicate forms. The same client also asked if I could provide some custom from templates. Does anyone out there use Device Magic for an offline form solution using creator as the back-end? I am in desperate need of an offline solution for my field evaluators and have found this possible solution. My clients are almost exclusively using mobile, and all pictures taken on newer cell phones will always be larger than 1MB. I know the file upload field is higher, but images are easier to deal with when printing and viewing record summaries.Idea: A system-maintained table (or export) with all fields and their properties (for all forms in the app)
A special table, maintained automatically by the system, that has 1 row per field, for every form in that app. The columns would be all the items in the "Field Properties" tab. The admin can view this table, and filter it (such as to show the fields for only 1 form) but of course cannot edit. This data is of course already stored somewhere in the system, so it would be a matter of surfacing it in a nice list for analysis by the admin. Or at minimum: offer an on-demand EXPORT of this info -sinceApplication/Theme Color Customization

Currently there is a contact info extractor that works with google chrome. Can you PLEASE make this work for outlook as well. It would be so helpful. Right now when I add a lead/contact from an outlook email, I still have to manually type in all the other information except the email address. I am not able to choose a category, or Popular or Most Recent options in the Zoho Creator Marketplace - nothing happens - it simply stays on the Main Page (Featured Applications), and Search doesn't appear to work either. Hi, Customer portal is great and we use for our external application. Unfortunately the application is used by users who I require to have different permissions. I know you do not support this currently as you state that all users must have the same permissions. It is limiting. As we understand, Bulk Edit currently does not trigger any scripting. Please consider letting it trigger OnEdit.OnSuccess scripts since these do not involve any form actions, etc. Currently, when critical items are performed via onEdit.OnSuccess scripting, bulk edit is of no value and even dangerous (even to the admin), since they won't be performed after the bulk edit. We notice that record import DOES trigger OnAdd.OnSuccess scripts - this is great. So hopefully the same is reasonable for bulkRequest: "Edit Report Fields" - to open Form with only the fields shown on that Report
The business need is for another way to offer a simpler form (subset of fields) for some tasks. (Hide/show, stateless forms, and Spreadsheet/Grid view are existing solutions, and they are very useful, yet each has it's issues.) Can additional information be provided on the application dashboard with the list of all the forms? The ability to see the last modified date and the user who made the change will help in maintaining the application. Showing the record count for each form will help in buying the correct subscription. Being able to sort/filter by these fields will be beneficial.Ask Receipt custom function
When we send an email from Zoho CRM, we need Ask Receipt to default to yes. The request has been made for an enhancement, and Zoho basically says it isn't going to happen.
