Tips to build complex flows on the Codeless bot platform at ease!
Zoho SalesIQ's Codeless bot platform lets you build chatbots for your website without having to handle the complexity of writing code. This platform has a super-easy drag and drop user interface that makes bot building as easy as pie. On top of that, this interface also has a bunch of features and controls that make the whole building process a lot easier. This post will focus on all such features and how they help you build your bot without any hassles.
Name all your cards:
Building a bot using the Codeless platform requires constructing a flowchart. Obviously, every flowchart has multiple elements. So, how do you differentiate one element from another? Always name your elements/cards uniquely and draw a clear picture. This way, you can quickly review or alter any card that you want to during the process and make the process of connecting cards easier.
Rollback to previous versions:
What if you're not happy with your last flow and want to revert to the changes you made in an older version? With Version History, you can view the list of all the versions that have been published so far along with the published date and time. You can rollback to a version of your choice.
Reverse/restore actions:
Go back a step and reverse a wrong action or a mistake or restore any actions that were previously undone using the Undo and Redo options respectively.
Here's an example. Say, you are trying to rearrange a flow that you have built and you accidentally cut a part of the flow. This will move the entire branch to the bottom of the board, leaving it disconnected from the rest of the flow. At this point, you can quickly undo the action and reconnect the flow. The same works for redo as well.
Declutter your board:
It is crucial to have a decluttered board for clarity and to determine what has to be done next. The codeless bot platform has an auto-arrange option which, in one click rearranges your flowchart and makes your board organized and helps you visualize better.
Improve discernibility:
Building and viewing chatbots using the codeless bot platform is not limited to just the web, you can do it on your phone as well. As the flow grows, sometimes you will not be able to get a clear picture on your device’s available screen size. You can use the Zoom option to get a full flow or magnify a particular flow.
To make the viewability great for both web and mobile platforms, you have the Fit to screen option. When this option is chosen, the platform adjusts the flow and fits it to the screen that you are viewing it on.
